[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1476834379795{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Celebrating over 26 years of service in Tulare County!” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Assistance League of Visalia is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that transforms lives and strengthens community through philanthropic programs in Tulare County.\u00a0 Member volunteers are dedicated to ongoing support and a long-term presence in the community through hands-on involvement in philanthropic programs to address the needs of children in our area.<\/p>\n

Assistance League is part of the first wave of nonprofit organizations in the United States that empowers ordinary citizens to improve communities and transform lives through long-term volunteerism.<\/p>\n

Organized as a national nonprofit in 1935, Assistance League\u2019s roots date back to the turn of twentieth century America when founder, Anne Banning, pioneered a tradition of compassion and benevolence carried on by her modern-day counterparts in Assistance League chapters around the country.<\/p>\n

The Visalia \u00a0chapter was organized in 1996, chartered in 1998, and was the 102nd chapter of Assistance League.\u00a0 There are 123 Assistance League chapters in 26 states with just under 23,000 members.\u00a0 In 2018, Assistance League chapters returned over $158 million to local communities across the country and invested 14.6 million service hours.<\/p>\n

Assistance League of Visalia currently has 85 “mighty” member volunteers working to make Tulare County a better place to live and work through our programs. \u00a0 In 2023\/24, our dedicated members volunteered over 2881 hours.\u00a0 We encourage you to learn more about our chapter and the many ways you can become involved and make a difference.<\/p>\n
